We were asked to produce a video for Hallam Welcome, aimed at new students who weren’t used to working remotely. As it was a new experience for almost everyone at the university it was important to cover topics like wellbeing and community-building to make sure nobody felt too isolated.

There are lots of websites that can help you make explainer videos – PowToon, Vyond, RenderForest to name a few and many have free or trial versions. We used a limited number of pre-animated clips from Biteable and tweaked the script to make sure that the video related to the points we were making and then added the audio tracks in Premiere Pro.
