Software Simulation

Software Simulation

The software simulation project was created for the Department of Engineering and Maths. The purpose of the project was to create an engaging and interactive resource that students will use to learn the software used in the courses. The simulation is a gamified way of learning software as every time a student completes a task, it unveils a new item to the plan and there is a quiz at the end to test students’ knowledge.

A version of the simulation has been created for MATLAB and AutoCAD. The simulations both have similar formats with regards to the colour scheme and icons used.

Potential Use Cases

The simulation could be recreated and based on software, functionality and topic.

Timescale

The simulation took 2 months to complete. To recreate the simulation, it would take up to a month to get a version ready.

Client Involvement

The client would need to provide the following information in order for a version of the simulation to be created:

  • Title
  • Tasks
  • Resources
  • Icon options
  • Colour scheme
