Both of these PowerPoint files are accompanied by a supporting screencast that demonstrates how to use the PowerPoint presentations.
These documents were created as a takeaway item for a session about bringing Digital Learning Back into the Classroom as teaching returns to the classroom following the Covid-19 pandemic. The PowerPoint documents are a resource for academics to be able to easily add more interactivity into their lecture, seminar, or workshop presentations to make for a more engaging learning experience for students.
The PowerPoint files are distributed following the Bringing Digital Back into the Classroom workshops but are also going to be available to access and download by any academic from the Digital Learning Teams blogsite.
Potential Use Cases
An academic may wish to use the interactivity to add questions and answers into their PowerPoint presentations to help to emphasise learning outcomes, summarise a session and gain feedback from students on how much they have learned from a lecture, seminar or workshop. The interactivity will also help to create a level of competition and engagement with learners to create a more memorable learning experience. Included are also timers, scoreboards and random selection tools to help create a more engaging learning experience for students.
Timescales
- The PowerPoint documents took around 7 working days to complete
- 3-10 working days (dependent on requirements)
Client Involvement
- No information was required from the client to create these documents as it was produced as a takeaway document from a training session.
- If a client wants a customised version of the presentation (customised design and/or customised interactivity) then we would need information on what sort of interaction the client is wanting to create in order to establish how to design the interactivity within PowerPoint.
