Online Exam Advice (For Students)

Online Exam Advice (For Students)

This video was made to help prepare students for online exams – to explain what they are, how 24-hour exams work and what is expected of them. It lists a number of helpful hints and tips about how to prepare, what to do during the exam and where to go for help if they need it.

We used Biteable to make the animation, which is one of a number of web-based solutions for creating animated presentations and explainer videos. Many of them have free or trial versions that anyone can use. You select a sequence of scenes and customise the text on the scenes to suit your requirements. It is quite quick to make professional-looking videos in this way.

The video was embedded on student-facing pages like MyHallam and LibGuides but was also designed so that it could be shared more widely by tutors and embedded in Blackboard sites. It has been viewed more than 1,000 times.

This is the video on Online Exam Advice.
