Georgina Thornley
Senior Lecturer in the Finance and Economics division, with a focus on Accounting and Finance. In 2023 I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). My research looks into the use of GenAI tools to support curriculum development and how our students learn, giving them agency over this whilst studying. This is with an aim to create an accessible and inclusive environment within the classroom to ensure students feel comfortable and are able to engage with their studies well. I champion bridging the gap for women in finance and alongside other colleagues support events and outreach to local colleges and sixth forms to support early years knowledge on the industry and education available.
