For 2026/27 onwards, we have introduced a simplified series of module and assessment grades in SITS, making it easier for staff and students to understand what they mean.
This means the module and assessment outcomes will display slightly different information on student transcripts and board reports. There are no changes to the University Grade Descriptors or marking practices for academics. However, colleagues should familiarise themselves with the new terminology and coding when reviewing module and course reports.
MyHallam holds a guide for understanding module and assessment module grades which gives full details of the new grades and also a link to the historic 2025/26 and earlier grades. Staff and students will see the new module grades from November onwards on reports and assessment statements.
