Creating a Panopto submission point

Creating a ‘Panopto submission point’ in Backboard Ultra is the same as creating a standard submission point.

Please note that your summative assessment submission points are usually created automatically in the annual process, which takes place in late August each year. The submission points are set up based on the information in SITs.

If summative assessment points are still needed, or you want to create submission points for formative assessment, it is very simple to do so.

To create a submission point (assignment)

Step 1. Use the (+) and select [Create]
Step 2. Then scroll to Assessment and select [Assignment]
Step 3. Name the assignment point at the top of the screen
Step 4. Select the settings you want
Step 5. Select whether you want to make it visible currently in the top right)
Step 6. Close this screen down)

Step 4. From the options bar select the plus inside a circle on the far right
Step 5. Then select [Integrated tools]
Step 6. Then select [Panopto Student Submission]
Step 7. Select [Choose] or  [Upload] or [Record] (from the top tabs) depending on how they are choosing to create their submission

You may want to put a version of the above steps (from step 3) in the instructions for the submission point.

You can witness this process yourself by creating a dummy submission point in your site, making it visible, going into Participant Preview and trying it out for yourself. You can delete the submission point after.
