By undertaking placements, internships and volunteering activity in a work setting, online through digital interfaces, or in the University on real-life projects set by external organisations, allowing you to apply your learning to the real world.
Learning by doing
In our specialist labs, design studios, practice facilities, simulation environments, workshops, or externally through field trips, educational visits, digital technologies or by loan access to specialist equipment so you can work on or off-campus. These activities are directed or supported by lecturers or technical experts, providing opportunities to practice and apply your learning.
Learning through independent study
In libraries, learning spaces across the University or online through our digital learning platforms, online resources and a wide range of app-based tools; carried out independently or working with fellow students on group project work.
