Aimee France

In my current role as Associate Head of School for Health and Social Care (Apprenticeships), I provide leadership in implementing the school’s and college's strategic vision for apprenticeships. I maintain oversight of developing a sustainable and high-quality apprenticeship portfolio, ensuring alignment with both regional and national needs. I contribute actively to key decision-making at the school leadership team level, including business planning, people development, and financial management.

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2001, specializing in the acute and long-term management of neurological conditions. My clinical work, primarily in private practice, continued until 2022. During this time, I gained valuable insights into the practical application of physiotherapy while honing my expertise in patient care across diverse neurological conditions.

In 2022, I assumed the role of AHP Apprenticeship Portfolio Lead, where I spearheaded the development of new apprenticeship programs and led the redesign of the curriculum across our offerings. I also ensured quality assurance through meticulous oversight, including preparation for Ofsted inspections. This experience has given me a strong foundation in curriculum development, quality management, and strategic alignment with regional and national demands. Through my work in leading and influencing high quality teaching, I was awarded Senior Fellowship with Advance HE.

Emma Harrison

I have worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of The Built Environment since 2011.  Prior to joining SHU I worked in the Construction Industry and gained my BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree part time at here at Sheffield Hallam University.  

I deliver modules to students on the undergraduate Quantity Surveying programmes to full time and part time students as well as to apprentices. The modules I am involved in cover all aspects of Quantity Surveying from inception through to completion. I also deliver work based learning for apprentices which I enjoy as it links well to my role as a course leader for apprenticeship provision. I have a particular interest in the apprenticeship journey and the role of the work place in the apprentices learning. My duties also involve the supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation research projects. I also provide support for students during their placement year and guiding them through the process of reflection on their experiences. 

 

Richard Telling

Dr Richard Telling is an Associate Head at Sheffield Business School – home to over 5,500 students. Richard provides leadership for the Student Experience portfolio, driving the School’s approach to community development, societies and enrichment, academic advising, continuation, student voice, and induction. Richard is well placed to carry out this role having spent the previous 18 months as Principal Lecturer for Student Experience for the Department of Service Sector Management. His research interests align with his leadership role and he has disseminated his work on student voices and belonging at conferences nationally.
