The Sheffield Hallam Academic Induction Framework (AIF) is a professional development offer for academic teaching staff who have joined the University within the last three years. The Framework is part of the wider Academic Development Pathways for all staff who teach at Hallam.
The phase one sessions comprise 10 taught sessions and 4 short, online modules, which have been developed by the Academic Development and Inclusion team in collaboration with other partners across the University.
We are hosting these phase one sessions throughout Semester 1 2024/25, and we invite you to enrol!
Sessions are also open to staff who have been here longer than 3 years although priority will be given to newcomers.
The sessions can be completed in any order, and you can take part in as many or as few as you wish. Look at our AIF: Phase 1 sessions below for more details.
We are also conducting an on-going academic induction review which seeks to improve our new starter academic induction materials.
