Digital Learning Drop-in

The digital learning drop-in is a virtual space providing help for staff in matters regarding digital learning pedagogies and tools.

Topics discussed can include (but are not limited to) pedagogical advice around the digital technologies, Blackboard, Turnitin, Panopto, PebblePad, Microsoft Teams for teaching, and Jisc Learner Analytics. This can be general advice, or a specific question about the use of digital tools.

Accessing the digital learning drop-in

Note: the drop-in room will not be available between 20 December and 4 January due to the University holiday closure.

Live support in the digital learning drop-in is available:

  • Monday 9am-4pm
  • Tuesday 9am-4pm
  • Wednesday 9am-4pm
  • Thursday - closed (please see other ways to get help with digital learning)
  • Friday 9am-4pm

Note: the digital learning drop-in cannot help with queries around IT issues such as user accounts, teaching spaces, hardware, software licensing, or administrative software outside learning and teaching (such as email, timetabling or SITS Online). See DTS for more help on IT matters, and timetabling or SITS help for issues relevant to those areas.

Please also note the digital learning drop-in is for staff only, except for instances where post-graduate students are teaching, or supporting teaching, themselves. Do not refer students to the drop-in for advice - student queries should be dealt with by Hallam Help.
