This is a list of staff development sessions, organised by theme, which have already been run and can be delivered on request to schools/institutes or subject areas. To request one of these sessions is run for your group, or if you have another staff development need you would like a workshop designed for, please email setl@shu.ac.uk with the name of the session and other details about what you would like.

Classroom Teaching 

Recording Teaching in the Classroom 

This session covers the process of recording classroom teaching. We will look at the recording equipment in the classrooms, software options for recording, and how to make the recording available to students through Blackboard Ultra. 

Bringing Digital Into the Classroom 

This session will look at activities that you may have used online that can also be used effectively in face-to-face sessions. We will look at a range of different activities and tools, and also cover any important differences and considerations when using them in a face-to-face setting.
