The University is launching two mandatory e-learning courses as part of the Connected Student Welfare Project. These courses have been designed and developed to support academic and student-facing staff in understanding our legal obligations and supporting students.
• Disability and Accessibility in Teaching and Learning
• Supporting Student Wellbeing and Responding to Distress
The E-learning modules are mandatory for all academic and student-facing staff. Although it is useful for all staff to know this information to support students and support a culture of inclusion.
In these modules, you will
• Understand legal responsibilities.
• Identify learning barriers and reasonable adjustments.
• Apply inclusive teaching practices and implement reasonable adjustments
• Supporting students in distress using consistent guidance
• Understanding referral routes and improving the student experience
