Re-opening Closed Chrome Tabs

If you've ever accidentally closed a tab in the Google Chrome browser and need to recover it, here is how.

[Transcription of the above video]

Hi, so I just wanted to show you a couple of little tricks in Chrome that I hope come out useful to you. I think we’ve all done it. You’ve been working on a tab, I’ve just got this one opens an example and you click close and you think, Oh no, I actually still needed that. If you right click on the plus arrow we can go to reopen closed tab and the last tab that you closed it will reopen it.

See how that’s reopening the tab I closed. Now it might be that it was a few tabs ago you closed, or that you’ve closed a whole bunch of tabs at the same time. In that case, you can want to go to this down arrow here, up in the top right. What it’ll give me is it’ll give me a list of all the tabs that I’ve currently got open, which is often useful if you can’t find something if you’ve got too many open.

But down towards the bottom, it will give you a list of all the tabs you’ve closed recently. So this one is going back 16 hours, which is quite a long time. So any tabs that you’ve closed recently will be in here and you can just click on them to reopen them.

So if it was a few. If it was the most recent tab, right click reopen closed. If it was a while ago, down here, down to recently closed and find the one that you want.
