In this video I’m going to show you how you can quickly convert a PDF document into a Word document using a free tool on the Adobe website.

So there might be different situations where you’ve got a PDF that you need to convert. PDFs aren’t always easy to edit, to annotate, and they’re not always great for accessibility either.

So here we’ve got an example of a PDF which is saved to My Documents.

So simply go to Google and search for Adobe Free PDF Converter. If you do that

We just need to make sure that it is the Adobe website that you find because there are lots of other converters out there that try. You know they might try and charge you and things like that. So make sure that it is the official Adobe website or simply use the link that we’ve put up on screen.

Once you get to this part of the Adobe website where you can convert PDF to Word, you can simply select the file which will be saved in your documents like mine is here.

This will then do a conversion process for you, which might take a few seconds or so depending on the size of your file.

Now you can sign in with your Google account to download it, It’s completely free. Or you can create a free Adobe account or sign in using your Adobe account if you’ve got one.

But the best way is usually to sign in with your Google account. And obviously we at Sheffield Hallam, we do have our own Google accounts. Or to access that, just go to my Hallam and it’s under the staff tools section.

So once you sign in, you’ll then be able to access and download this Word document that’s been converted from a PDF.

And there you go. From here you’ll be able to download the documents, open it in Word, and then begin to edit it and make any changes that you need to do, any annotations, anything that you usually do.

And that’s how you can convert a PDF into a Word document using the free tool on the Adobe website.
