Suggested settings

By default your ATLAS workspace will be set-up with the recommended assessment settings but you should check these settings and add the missing details. PebblePad assessments can vary widely so if in any doubt please contact a member of the Digital Learning Team who will be happy to go through the settings with you and ensure your assessment will run as you wish.

Once a new ATLAS workspace has been created:

1. In ‘Management’ go to the ‘Assignments’ tab

2. Scroll down to ‘Deadlines’. In this area add the submission deadline and remember to complete the ‘Work already submitted can be modified until’ date as this is the date and time students will no longer be able to edit their work.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save’.

4. Scroll to the top of the page and click on the ‘Feedback’ tab.

5. Click on ‘Feedback Settings’. This is where you can change it so when work is being marked the feedback can’t easily be released to the student by mistake. Instead you can release all the feedback at once from the submissions tab after marking is complete.

6. In the first option box (see pic) select ‘Assessors cannot release their own feedback’.

7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Save’.

8. Scroll to the top of the page and on the very top click on the ‘Resources’ tab.

9. The Resources page is where you can add your Portfolio or Workbook and make it available to students.

10. Click on the folder icon on the right hand side of the page (see pic).

11. If it is a Portfolio you are adding click on the tab ‘My Assets’. If it is a Workbook you are adding click on the tab ‘My Workbooks’.

12. Find the Portfolio or Workbook you want to share and click on ‘Select Item’ on the right hand side of the page (see pic).

13. On the next page select the options you want for the share. If it is a Workbook we usually recommend setting up ‘Auto Submit and this is where you would find that option.

14. Once you have selected the settings you want scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Continue’.

15. Your ATLAS assignment is now set-up and ready to use with students.
