Academic Integrity Mini-Module

This mini-module is designed to help students understand the principles of academic integrity, avoid common forms of academic misconduct, and navigate the University's academic conduct processes.

The module is suitable for all students and can be used as part of induction, embedded within modules, or recommended to students who would benefit from additional guidance on academic practice and expectations. Students will also be signposted to this module in cases where an academic misconduct concern has been raised by an academic member of staff.

Learning outcomes

After completing the module, students will be able to:

  • Define academic integrity and academic misconduct, and understand what they mean in practice for their studies.
  • Apply strategies to act with integrity in their studies.
  • Find and use support from university services when they need advice or guidance.

The module should take 30 minutes to complete – students can save their progress and return any time.
