Employability is a key element of Sheffield Hallam University's approach to applied learning and Employability Advising is an important part of the student support offer at the institution, and is a core part of the Student Support Triangle.

Every school has a named Employability Adviser, who provide the following school-specific support: 

• In-curriculum session delivery in dedicated modules.  

• Regular careers and employability communications to students via Blackboard or newsletter.  

• Placement and Graduate career search support.  

• Other support tailored to department which may include drop-ins, co-curricular workshops, and facilitation of external speakers.
